I express my passions for the natural world through the process of printmaking. All designs are unique and begin as a sketch, transferred to a block, hand carved onto linoleum, and hand printed using ink to reveal the final design.

Nature brings me life and printmaking is my passion. The two are connected through the physical action of hand carving linoleum block and the organic symbols and concepts rooted in the natural world around me. Inspiration for my work comes from flora and fauna explored during many outdoor adventures and the attractions of symbols within daily life. From a small tree growing on a path to repeating occurrences of symbols throughout my day. I begin ideas with fluid sketches of these patterns and connect them to contemporary representations of nature. As my designs evolve into a final print the hand made process brings me closer to my personal self, while revealing imagery that can be appreciated by everyone.
